13 Don't-Miss Fourth of July Events in Cincinnati This Year
It's almost time to celebrate America's birthday! Our community takes this holiday very seriously, hosting multiple fireworks shows and tons of fun, family-friendly events leading up to the big day. In fact, in 2018, Wallethub named Cincinnati as one of the best places in the country to celebrate the Fourth of July!
We rounded up some of our favorite happenings in the area this year to help you plan your week. Attend a fireworks show, spend a day at the local amusement park with the family, or indulge at a food truck festival — there are so many ways to celebrate!
This Independence Day festival will end with a bang! Before enjoying the fantastic fireworks display at sunset, enjoy live music, food and vendor booths, family-friendly activities and more. Also, make sure to stop by their second annual car show and food truck rally!
The Northside Fourth of July Parade & Carnival is one of the biggest, best and most festive parties in the city all year! The parade has been held since 1854 and is a tradition beloved by locals. The Rock 'n' Roll Carnival was added as an extension of the celebration in the early '80s, and features live music, local beer and food vendors, family-friendly activities, and so much more. Bust out your red, white and blue costumes and come out to celebrate America!
Stricker's Grove is a family-owned amusement park in Ross, Ohio. While it is usually closed to the public and used for private functions most of the year, their annual 4th of July Celebration is open to anyone and everyone! Enjoy their rides, food and games with your friends and family before capping off the day with a fireworks show.
Firecracker Festival
Where: Symmes Township Park When: June 28-29, 3-10 p.m.
This Independence Day festival will end with a bang! Before enjoying the fantastic fireworks display at sunset, enjoy live music, food and vendor booths, family-friendly activities and more. Also, make sure to stop by their second annual car show and food truck rally!
Hyde Park Blast 2019
Where: Hyde Park Square When: June 29, 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. The Hyde Park Blast will include a 4-mile run through Hyde Park, bike races, kid races, chariot races and more — all followed by a magnificent block party on the square! This year, they'll be mixing up the afternoon festivities, introducing their first-ever Beer, Wine and Food Festival. New Richmond Freedom Fest
Where: New Richmond When: July 3-4, Wednesday at 5 p.m. & Thursday at 12 p.m. The New Richmond Freedom Fest is the perfect way to start your Independence Day celebration. This two-day event will feature several attractions, including a car show, a DJ with live music, live bands, rides, food, drinks and local vendors. Where: Summit Park When: July 4, 4 p.m. Natalie Brady Music, the Nite Owls and Kansas will perform at this grand Independence Day celebration! Where: Riverbend Music Center When: July 4, 8 p.m. Celebrate America's birthday with great music, dazzling fireworks and picturesque views of the river as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra presents its annual Patriotic Pops concert. Bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn during the show and stay after the last note to see the fireworks!Fireworks at Kings Island
Where: Kings Island When: July 4, Sunset After a long, thrilling day at the Kings Island amusement park, you'll be able to kick back and enjoy a dazzling display of fireworks over the roller coasters. Light Up Liberty is a 4th of July, alcohol-free, community celebration that offers plenty of fun for the whole family. Every year, upwards of 18,000 people attend this special event to experience live music and great food all from members of the community. Don't miss the Family Fun Zone, where you can ride carnival rides and play games, and the spectacular fireworks presentation at the end of the evening!Happy Independence Day!
