12 Outdoor Concerts in the Columbus Area This Summer
Summer in Columbus is a magical time. Restaurant patios are opening their doors, farmers' markets are setting up shop and plenty of outdoor experiences are finally ready to be explored! There are hundreds of ways you can spend your summer in the Columbus area, but one of our favorite things about the season is all of the incredible outdoor musical events around town!
To help get you started on planning your summer itinerary, we rounded up 12 of our most anticipated outdoor concerts in the Columbus area this season. From kid-centered performances to jazz festivals — there's a little something for everyone on this list!
This summer, visit the John F. LaCorte Amphitheater in Whitehall every Sunday for a fun, festive live music event! Enjoy fantastic bands like the John Schwab Band, Reaganomics and Mojoflow, just to name a few. No matter what type of music you enjoy — punk, jazz, rock or R&B — there's a performance just for you happening in Whitehall this season!
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the Jazz Arts Group are teaming up to bring you a unique summer event this season! Head out to Water's Edge Park at the Columbus Zoo and enjoy some fantastic jazz, delicious dishes from local food trucks, and a cash bar. You can find this full, impressive lineup here!
Park of Roses Summer Concerts
When: May 26-September 1 | Sundays, 7 p.m. Where: Whetstone Park of Rose's Gazebo, Clintonville

For over 62 years, the Civitan Club of North Columbus has been providing opportunities for local musical groups to showcase their talents in the park. This season, head out to the picturesque gazebo in Whetstone Park of Rose every Sunday to enjoy the best live performances the north Columbus area has to offer. The event is completely free each week and promises a fun-filled evening complete with free snow cones!3rd Annual SUMMER614
When: June 1, 3-11 p.m. Where: Columbus Commons Come out to the Columbus Commons and watch some of your favorite R&B and hip hop artists perform live on the amphitheater stage! Before you settle in to listen to some great music, make sure to visit some of the food trucks located throughout the park that will be serving mouth-watering dishes. Proceeds will go to support the 22nd Foundation, a charity organization that exposes and educates low-opportunity youth to diverse sports options as well as a healthy lifestyle. When: June 2, July 7 and August 4, 7-8:30 p.m. Where: Sycamore Creek Park Amphitheater, Pickerington Join the City of Pickerington during their popular summer concert series this season! They'll be hosting this special event on three Sundays throughout the summer featuring fantastic musical acts like Chris Logsdon, the British Invasion and Motown Sounds of Touch. So grab your blanket and chairs and enjoy a warm summer evening at the beautiful Sycamore Creek Park Amphitheater!Music in the Park 2019

PBJ & Jazz
When: June 8, July 13, August 10 & September 14, 11 a.m. Where: The Topiary Park, Columbus Introduce your little ones to jazz and American music at this special family-friendly concert series! Featuring some of Columbus' finest musicians and ensembles and a complimentary peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the door — downtown Columbus' PBJ & Jazz events are the perfect way to spend a summer morning with your family!Sundays at Scioto
When: June 9-July 28 | Sundays, 7 p.m. Where: The Scioto Park Amphitheater, Dublin

Sundays at Scioto concerts are a popular Dublin event that has been around since 1983 when Scioto Park opened to the public. This annual event showcases local and regional performing artists from all walks of music — from pop, country and rock to traditional Celtic music. Make sure to get there ahead of time to find your perfect spot and to get a good look at Leatherlips, the breathtaking sculpture in the heart of the park.Evenings on the Green
When: June 20, July 18 and August 15, 6 p.m. Where: Ohio Village, Columbus Get a taste of Ohio history this summer at Ohio Village! This recreated 19th-century community is hosting three special musical events this season, all featuring fantastic local performers, food trucks and more. When: June 21 & July 19, 6:30 p.m. Where: Stradley Park, Canal Winchester

This free summer concert is held on the third Friday of June and July and features live music and plenty of family-friendly activities! This year, head out to Stradley Place in downtown Canal Winchester for a spectacular lineup of local musicians. On June 21, enjoy watching Jack Fox & The County Line Band and let the kids explore tractors and other professional vehicles at the Touch-A-Tractor activity. On July 19, listen to the sounds of the Gas Pump Jockeys while perusing cars at the Cruise-In Car Show!2019 Westerville Jazz Series
When: June 22- July 27 (Excluding July 20) | Saturdays, 6 p.m. Where: Alum Creek Amphitheater, Westerville Jazz in Westerville is back once again and bringing with it the same great music and entertainment. Two words: jazz and ribs — need we say more? This highly anticipated summertime event offers a little something for both jazz and rib connoisseurs, providing the Columbus area with the best of both.
