The warmer weather, colorful spring decorations and endless marshmallow Peeps adorning store shelves can only mean one thing — it's almost Easter! We love this holiday not only because of the amount of chocolate that we get to eat but also because of the extra time we get to spend with friends and family. Luckily, the Akron and Canton area is full of celebrations where we can enjoy time with loved ones, including Easter egg hunts, eggstravagant brunches and photo opportunities with the bunny himself! Here are 14 events we're most looking forward to this year. Enjoy!

Easter Bunny Arrival Eggstravaganza

Where: Belden Village Mall, Canton When: March 30, 9-11 a.m. Welcome the Easter Bunny to Canton at an "Eggstravaganza" at the Belden Village Mall! Celebrate his arrival by hunting for eggs, eating a delicious Easter-themed breakfast, getting your face painted, playing with live bunnies and decorating cupcakes. This event will take place in the food court and children are encouraged to bring a basket for the egg hunt.

Where: Belden Village Mall, Canton When: March 30-April 20, Times Vary Visit the Easter Bunny at his home in the Belden Village Mall and get your picture taken with him! He'll be stationed in front of a charming photo backdrop full of luscious greenery and fresh flowers from the end of March to the day before Easter. Breakfast with the Bunny

Where: The Akron Zoo When: April 6-7, 13-14 & 20, 8:30-10 a.m. Akron/Canton Easter Events

Join the Akron Zoo for a breakfast buffet, crafts, activities, a visit with the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt full of fun prizes. This event will be held over three weekends in April and you can get your tickets here. Don't forget to bring your own camera and basket!

Brunch with the Bunny

Where: Roses Run Country Club, Stow When: April 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to have brunch with the Easter Bunny! Visit the Roses Run Country Club and enjoy a brunch buffet, plenty of bunny photo opportunities and an egg hunt on the green. All of the proceeds from this event will provide funding for Riverview PTA to help sponsor educational and social programs for the students. You can get your tickets here.

Egg Hunt at the Hollow

Where: Quail Hollow Park, Hartville When: April 13, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Cincinnati Easter Events Celebrate spring and Easter with a festive egg hunt at Quail Hollow Park. Explore the Nature Center, meet live animals and make a craft after hunting for eggs around the beautiful grounds! This event is free and open to all ages. You can register here.

Decorate Easter Eggs!

Where: Little Van Gogh Art Studio When: April 13, 1-2 p.m. Head over to the Little Van Gogh Art Studio and paint plastic eggs! You and your child will be able to let your imagination run wild as you decorate your egg using anything from glitter to feathers. This fun experience costs $12 and children of all ages are welcome to attend.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Where: The Winery at Wolf Creek, Barberton When: April 14, 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. Akron/Canton Easter Events Who says Easter egg hunts are just for kids? At this adult-only event, you'll be able to search for eggs filled with candy, toys and prizes all around the winery grounds. This hunt is a BYOB (bring your own basket) festivity and the pre-registration of $20 includes a glass of wine and a donut to fuel your search!

Adult Egg Scramble

Where: Fred Fuller Park, Kent When: April 19, 9 p.m. Grab your flashlight and a bag and visit Fred Fuller Park in Kent for a fun-filled adult-only event. Search for eggs, prizes and candy in the dark, and get the chance to find winning eggs with over $5,000 in prizes, including big screen TVs, bikes, kayaks, a drone, cash and more! Lock 3 Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Lock 3, Akron When: April 20, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Head over to Lock 3 and have breakfast with the Easter Bunny before spending the morning hunting for eggs. This delicious breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. After you eat, collect Easter eggs and get a photo with the bunny himself!

Easter Egg Hunt at Stan Hywet

Where: Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Akron When: April 20, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Akron/Canton Easter Events

Bring the entire family out to Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens for one of Akron's most popular Easter traditions! Children nine and under can participate in the famed egg hunt while the whole family is invited to spend the day visiting with the Easter Bunny and enjoying a beautiful spring day on the estate. Make sure to purchase your ticket before you go, as this event sells out quickly.

Youth Egg Hunt

Where: Fred Fuller Park, Kent When: April 20, 12:45 p.m. At this free family-friendly event, children nine and under will be able to hunt for over 5,000 eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny. Some eggs will contain numbers and can be redeemed for prizes, but don't forget your basket!

Green Parks & Recreation Easter Egg Hunt

Where: City of Green Central Administration Building, Uniontown When: April 20, 1p.m. Residents in and around Green are welcome to visit the City of Green Central Administration building for an egg hunt the day before Easter! Ages infant through 10-years old are welcome to participate and families are encouraged to spend the spring afternoon enjoying the beautiful grounds. Make sure to bring your basket and register online before you go!

Easter Talent Show

Where: Buchtel Commons, Akron When: April 20, 5-8 p.m. Akron/Canton Easter Events Join the Fallen Fathers Foundation at their Inaugural Save Our Community Easter Talent Show. Watch incredible performing and visual arts from Akron area youth, grades kindergarten through 12th grade. This brand new event will be hosted by Crisis, featuring music from iLL WiLL and a surprise celebrity guest!

Easter Brunch

Where: Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown When: April 21, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Kick off your Easter celebration by enjoying a delicious brunch at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Akron! This brunch will include scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pastries, an omelet station and much more. You can make your reservation by calling (234) 231-7717.
